Clear coat or Single Stage

My wife just bought herself a 94 Accord Wagon. I'm chompin' at the bit to detail it, but I don't know how to tell if it's SS or CC paint. What's the quickest, most definitive method to find out?? I'd like to detail it this, or next weekend. If it's SS then I'm gonna need to buy some new product. Everything I currently have is for CC (ie Zaino).

This is very true. For many manufacturers, white was one of the last colors to get switched over to clear coat.



If the 94 Accord Wagon is white, then it is probably single stage paint, and if it is any other color then it more likely has a clear coat finish.
 
My white '04 Tacoma Doublecab is single stage. I know Honda was still doing some single stage whites until the last couple of years.
