Cleaning Trim 2006 Civic Si

I have a 2006 Civic and I am having trouble getting the trim below the windshield cleaned up well. I recently bought Poorboy's Trim Restorer to replace mothers back to black, but It only helped a little. I think my trim just really needs to be cleaned well. What is the best way to clean trim?

Here is what it looks like after the poorboys wears off:

Even if you die it, it's still going to fade again, so you might as well keep applying the trim dressings...it's quicker and easier than dieing. I've heard great things about Black Wow, but haven't gotten the chance to try it yet.

Try using a Magic Eraser to clean the plastic cowl.

I've had good success using it to restore faded window trim which looked very much like yours (light gray).

If it's wax and/or sealant, then I've had success with a 50/50 bleach water mixture for removal. Make sure you don't touch the paint with the magic eraser OR the bleach. That may be tough to do with that trim.

would this help on the "zebraing" of a Volvo S60's trim?

I've tried Mother's (?) Black Magic and it worked, but faded away after a week or two.

I bought some Ultima Tire & Trim specifically for dealing with external pieces like this. Unfortunately I haven't used it yet so I can't tell you how it works (doh).

to clean stuff I've found simple green the best, we use it at the shop to clean just about everything and it works like a champ. I myself don't dilute it with water, i use it 100%.

That can easily be solved by propping the hood up. :D

Have you ever tried diluting it? The Simple Green bottle says it should be diluted because water "activates" the cleaning solution.
