I'm sure lots you guys do it allready.

Yesterday I went and the cleaned leftovers from winter out of all the painted areas "where the sun don't shine" and waxed them too.

Really makes the car seem new again.

Step one, buy new car and drive for 5 months in winter and all that nice discusting muck.

Step two, liberally wet doorjambs with instant/quick detailer spray, dampen plush cloth as well.

Step three, wipe dirt and muck away, dry with clean cloth.

Step four, nice coat of your favorite wax.

(yeah, step one has alot to do with it) but I intend to keep these parts clean like this, so years down the road it will still seem new.

Lots of cars I see are decently clean on the outside, but open the door or trunk and its like woah.

That looks awesome! Doorjams are the next on my list. I FD them every wash just to get rid of the dirt, but I need to AIO and SG in order to feel complete:)

Kiwi, that's mighty impressive. :)

I tell you another benefit from keeping the jambs clean. On more than one occasion my car dealer's service guy has remarked how they love to see a well-looked after car and they can tell from the door jambs and engine bay who is really thorough. It keeps the mechanics happy I swear.

Hehe, engine bay is the only thing I havn't touched yet. Spring break is over now so no more fanatic compulsive cleaning for a while :(

I'd like to get a hold of a steam cleaner at some point and try that on the engine.

I agree 100%. They tend to treat cars that are well maintained with alittle more respect.

Nice work!!!!!

I did all the door jams and everything today for a good couple of hours. Not as instantly gratifying as the usual waxing etc but nice knowing that it's not just clean on the outside, you can open the doors, bonnet, boot etc and still have gleaming bits! :D.

When I clay my car I also clay & wax the jams...

Its nasty to open the door and see dirt when the rest of the car is spotless.

I've been known to remove my headlights and tail lights to wax the painted area behind there. I really do scare people sometimes. :D

Nice job! Is that EBP?

I like to use meguiars #20 in my door jambs. Seems to have the right amount of cleaners and protection for the application.

I could have swore they were civic door jambs. Maybe they are, but if you look at the interior color it leads me to believe its not even a civic. Custom civic maybe? We need a full car pic please.

Dude, you are freaking me out!

I also AIO my door jams on Sunday (forgot to take pics) but yours look a lot better than mine, maybe blue looks sharper than black.
