I have an older (80's?) model Rolls that I am detailing this week. The chrome is pretty marred up. What are you guys using to clean that stuff up? I have some chemical guys chrome polish but will that remove swirls in the chrome or should I just stick to polishes and compounds? Thanks

Chrome can be a tough one to fully correct. I'd start with something less abrasive to see how it reacts and step it up as needed. Don't know CG chrome polish. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe Bob Willis has more experience with these kinds of specialty items for more solid advise?

Chrome? Most likely Sterling Silver. Get some silver polish, should do the trick.

Sterling ought to polish up a lot easier than chrome but seriously, chrome can be made brighter with rouge and top shelf polishes like those from English Custom Polishes but I take it that actually removing marring and scratches and other defects is going to be difficult because there's the risk of buffing right through the plating. I hope there's a product and process I'm unaware of that can do the trick.
I believe it's chrome, I'm dealing with the outside grill and other areas. Inside isn't really a problem, I'm assuming that's where(if at all) is the silver. Unless since I don't have a baller status I just don't realize they put silver on the outside too LOL. Thanks for the suggestions.

The exterior grill and lady is Sterling Silver, you will want to be careful if you polish it.

I believe The Flying Lady at least is optionally silver plated over polished stainless steel. I have a set of replica book ends of her in aluminum and there's no comparison between the two metals.
