Cleaning oxydized aluminium

Got a problem with a wheel. Clearcoat peeled between adjacent lug nut holes and the exposed aluminium turned white. I will have it clearcoated in a few days but wonder how to bring back the original finish. I don't think (maybe I am wrong) polishing is an option because it is a machined wheel (see attached pic).



What's your take on this ?

You need to remove the remaining clearcoat and the oxidized aluminum. You could do that with an abrasive polish and maybe chemical stripper, though the resulting finish might not match the other wheels.



Or you could have the wheel machined again.
