Cleaning Light Drizzle off Zaino

If you have very light rain on a freshly Zaino'ed (2 coats Z2Pro, finished with Z6 & Z8) and clean car, how would you go about reviving the shine? Is a wash necessary or just QD'ing with Z6 is ok?

I'm asking because, if I spend another 2-3 hours today washing and detailing my new Lexus GX 470 after the 7-8 hours I spent yesterday, I'll probably end up in divorce court :sosad. I'd really like to avoid the 2 hour wash & dry (for the sake of our happy marriage), but don't want to rub the dust in. What do you guys do after a quick light shower (not with the dw ;) ) ?

2 hour wash and dry? Why does it take you so long?:nixweiss

This was my first time washing a tall suv. I need to stand on a step ladder to do the roof. Reaching the middle of the roof is still a stretch. And I need to wash and dry in sections from top to bottom, otherwise by the time I'm done washing this large truck, parts of it have dried water-spots.

I might get faster with experience. Any pointers to speed me up?

Are you doing a rinse without the nozzle after washing? This will help sheet the water off. Start from top to bottom and just let the water naturally flow off the vehicle. This will considerably reduce the amount of water you will have to dry from the vehicle, especially if it's freshly waxed. Once done drying, go over it with a quick detailer and you should be good to go.:D

If your car was clean before washing, you should be able to just QD it with the Z6. I never have much problem with my DD after rain. I even QD it with a light haze from wet driving and have a great shine all over again ! Since Z8 has been out, I use Z8 instead of Z6 to restore (and improve!) the finish after a little dust or whatever winds up on the car. A lot of stuff just doesnt stick to it badly anymore ;) If you have the chance , get some Z8, you'll love it !

Either a wash then Z6 or just Z6 should do the trick. I'm pretty fussy. I never QD unless I wash first. Whatever works for you!
