cleaning leather steering wheel.....

I have a specific question about the cleaning/maintaining the leather steering wheel in my vehicle but I guess it could pertain to all leather wrapped wheels

here is a pic of the leather on my wheel.... it is soft leather and has some sections that are dimpled or perforated, for lack of a better description

what is the best product to clean and maintain this leather? I have noticed that used vehicles with this dimpled wheel can get grungy and dirty in the dimples and I want to avoid that... my last vehicle had a leather wrapped wheel but it was very hard leather and nearly impossible for anything to stick to it but this one seem a like it would be easier to get grungy

on hand, I have blackfire interior cleaner and wolfgang leather cleaner... which should I use? in general, is one type of cleaner better than another on steering wheel leathers? like water based vs non?

thanks

I use a leather cleaner and conditioner with and interior brush. I apply the solution to the brush then go to work on the leather.

Remember DO NOT dress you leather on the steering wheel with anything that will cause you to lose any grip as this is a huge safety issues so just use some common sense and you will be fine.

I bought and used Lexol AIO or 3 in 1 and it worked really good although my steering wheel wasn't dirty and used it to maintain the clean it worked good. It didn't leave a greasy feeling so I like it. It is a cleaner and conditioner in one. I don't have the holes in my wheel so I don't know how it will work on that area.

Dean. :)

I picked up some VLR on Thursday. Probably try it out this weekend.

Once you clean the wheel and maintain it you'll never need to do a deep cleaning.

I normally clean the wheel with very dilute pb apc or woolite 10:1
then re-wipe with a damp terry to remove any soap residue

as far as protectant on the wheel I normally use something like 303
