Cleaning glass

When you guys-gals get a chance, try this one time and let me know if it worked well for you.

Take a terry cloth towel(one you'd get from auto zone or costco)....the square shaped ones. Dampen one with warm water. Take the damp towel and act like you're washing the window. Then, take a dry terry cloth towel and polish the glass clean.

I've had that work extremely well vs using a m/f which I always seem to get a ton of lint on the glass.

Let me know how you like that(or not) :)

Your process is not much different than others except using terry cloth as opposed to mf. It can work...

My process uses terry to scrub,mf to dry. I do not really have any linting issues since I use woven style mf and not towels with a lot of nap.

I use the Meguiars glass cleaner and a MF sponge, followed by a tightly woven waffle towel from Rosco to do the final buffing. That combination has always given me the best results.

Your glass is like any other surface and needs to maintained as well.

I clean my windshield in a similar fashion giving it a good scrubbing to remove as much grime and debris before the final cleaning with a microfiber glass towel.

Once the glass is clean I'll apply a coat of wax to add some additional protection and this also stops most things from sticking to it making it much easier to wash off.

I can't use wax, sealant or other coatings on my new Ford Fusion windshield. It makes the wipers skip and hop and chatter. I washed away the Stoner's repellent and then the wipers resumed normal cleaning operation.

I read the owner's manual cleaning guide and it suggests removing any water repellent coatings, wax coatings, etc.

Has anyone had this problem with wipers when using glass coatings?

Never heard of that. My wipers work better when the windshield is sealed because the surface is so much smoother.
