i bought mine from CGs but i seen what look to be the exact MF from euroweily (SP) cheaper and a better deal on more then one MF..
has anybody had any luck with this http://www.autogeek.net/ww1627.htmlfor glass? I just ordered one in my last order cuz I didnt see the link for the one Joe has.
I just did a search for suede mf's and I see some 16x16 for up to 9.95 and a couple for 3.25 you think there is a difference? I saw tan ones and blue ones both say made for glass and glasses even. just wondering?

Don't waste your money. Stoners is much better. I didn't care for it.

I disagree with that. The NXT Glass Cleaner is just as good as the IG in my opinion. Like i said above I have been using the IG exclusivly for the last several years and got a free sample of the NXT and i am now using it instead. And i was a die hard IG guy. Would not even try any other products previously.

I'm not sure which one your talking about it,but i noticed the MF with the foam in the middle has gone up to $15.00

I also was hoping to purchase the NXT or STONERS in a gallon size .
Stoners IG is available in 5 gallon pails($48.14) and 55 gallon drums ($342.90). If you want it in aerosol cans, you can get a case of twelve 19 oz. cans for $35.70.(More than a gallon of cleaner)
Try contacting Stoners directly.

I have four of these towels. I really like them no lint, no streaks. They're basically just small WW towels.

At the end of last summer, I bought two of the Duo Fiber towels that Richard mentioned. They were HORRIBLE linted all over the glass. Then I washed them in my laundry machine and they fell apart!! I emailed Megs and they sent me two new ones which are just as awful.

97F1504X4. I tried to use the towels the other day for DQ w/S & G and the wouldn't absorb. the towels kept pushing the S & G around and i noticed them lenting right off the bat..I didnt wash them before hand,if so this might have stop the lent. I have'nt used them on glass so i won't comment..

I had to Edit: I checked my Towels after posting. The Towels i own have a white satin edge your towels look to have a blue one..

Reading posts on MOL it seems a couple of the towels that Megs came out with last year have some linting & durability issues. Apparently the Duo Fiber Glass Towel and the Super Plush Terry Towel are not up to the typical megs standards. Joe, your towel is probably the Super Terry.

The yellow Supreme Shine towels are great though. I have several.

With regards to glass cleaning MF, Poorboy's Velvet smooth work very well. A little "limp" though, so they tend to fold over onto themselves at times. A very nice final wipe towel, though.
For OTC, Viking glass cleaning MF's are very similar to the Nortex MF. (But much cheaper).
Also, WW towels work well on glass too.

I tried and tried the foaming glass cleaners but I continued have problems with them. Now I just use an alcohol:water solution, or occasionally, NXT Glass cleaner ( good product). I saturate a dedicated sponge ( although those new scrubbing MF pads are attractive ) with the cleaner, agitate the glass in the opposite direction of my final wipe and then wipe clean with a surgical huck towel. ( MF is OK too, just keep it dedicated to glass usage only).

Now, for very minor hazing, I just QD the windows, like the rest of the car, with FK 425. That stuff is impressive all around!

Instead of wasting my clay I use Bon Ami or Barkeepers Friend ( No Ajax or Comet )to clean off the heavy sh*t and then clean with Stoners or 20/20. Don't forget to clean the wiper blades too. This is GM service bulletin.

Bon Ami is actually a kitchen sink porcelain cleaner and you will find it in the cleaning section of your local grocery store. I myself do not like it to messy and to much of a PITA to use.

I mostly do all my machine work(compound,polish...),spray degreaser on engine, jams, wheels and wheel wells and bon ami the windows and then rinse it all with the pressure washerwash and dry and then finish all my hand work(wax, windows and dressing). Or bon ami the windows then just wash the car.See not that big of a mess.
