cleaning foam applicator pads

i have some meguiar foam pads that i use to polish and wax my car with(hand applicator pads). It says they are machine washable, but what other ways do you guys clean your pads so they can be used on another vehicle?
 
Mix some water with Dawn, pour the mixture onto a plate. Place the dirty side of the pad into the mixture. Soak for a couple of hours. Rinse under clean water. Air dry pad.



But if they are the hand applicators just thrown them in the washing machine.
 
I have big jugs of regular Ultra Dawn that I use to clean everything. Not only is Dawn effective and safe on grimy wheels, engines, and floor mats, but also on foam applicators as well. I first rinse an applicator with hot water, pour a few droplets of Dawn, and start spreading/rubbing the liquid into foam around the applicator. After a few passes and hot-water-rinses, it comes out really clean. I wring out all the water I can and let it air dry. If you need it dry quickly, rub it against a towel or something...



I still like to put my pads on labeled bags for seperate uses though...

And this should work for terry covered applicators as well shouldn't it?
