hello everybody, i am looking into cleaning my rotors or brake assembly this weekend while my wheels are coming off. any idea what to do or what products to get? i searched here and didn't find anything unfortunately. pics would be awesome. thanks in advance if you provide a write up.

Above advice for unpainted calipers. Dont use it on painted ones as the brake cleaner dulls the finish.

These days I use Autoglym Engine and machine cleaner on the the wells and calipers.

After cleaning I painted the rotor edge, and hub, and the calipers so cleaning is made easy next time

On the rears also did the dust shield

ok, sounds good. do i just spray all of the area in the yellow circles and then brush off with a brush? and the calipers are not painted. will simple green be good enough or would it be better to use a brake cleaner? what about the area in the red circle? do i just spray everywhere in there? brush then hose off?

I spray the whole area you circled with engine and machine cleaner, if your calpiers are not painted ( red circle) then I would scrub them with a wire brush. Rinse and dry. You could use brake cleaner on it all if the grime is not shifting.
