Cleaning bonnets?

Hey how do you guys clean your buffer bonnets? I am hesitant to put them in the washing machine for fear that the wax will damage the machine, so I have been just soaking them in detergent and hot water, but that doesn't work as well as i would like. Any ideas would be appreciated

thanks,

Heff

Soak them and clean them out in a bucket, then pop them into the washing machine.

afraid of wax in the washing machine? Just pour some detergent into it and run an empty cycle.

Heff-Yeah, what Jason said (gee, I say that a lot!). Any mess/ring/dirt in the washer can be cleaned off/out one way or the other. It WON'T actually damage the machine any. My dedicated-to-detailing washer gets some AWFUL stuff run through it, and after more than 10 years it's fine.

LOL, great minds think a like Accumulator.

I use two different washings machines at two different houses (my own and god parents) haven't noticed anything terrible. I use trry towels that cost about 50 cents each on the dirty jobs. I don't even bother washing them. I just chuck them into the garbage.
