Cleaning BFWD off pads

What are you guy's doing to clean your pads after appling BFWD? I've used Dawn, Dawn power dislover, APC, APC+. Nothing seems to work! It still is replelling water and the pad have that slime over them. I guess that's the Polymers?? The pads are LC black pads. Never have this problem before. First time using BFWD by the way.

I noticed the same thing too but i'm applying by hand with foam aplicators.

Spray some Megs Super Degreaser, work it in and let soak overnight.

Since it doesn't come off easy, i'm guessing it's fairly durable stuff.

Ha! I was just having this conversation with a fellow Autopian tonight. I have never used the product, but he swears by it and the only complaint was getting the pad clean afterwords. I told him the same thing, "Hey, at least you know it's durable, lol."

The Optimum stuff doesn't like to come out either. I use APC+ 10:1 or 4:1. There's hardly anything that 4:1 can't tackle, ime.

I bought a couple LC gold pads just for BFWD, as far as cleaning goes - a little Dawn, rinse good and wipe down with a clean towel and let dry - you can't get it 100% clean.

Ok guy's, thanks for the help. I am just going to asign these two pads to BFWD! I've cleaned them the best I can with Dawn and also Power Dissolver to no avail. It's the best it's going to get. Ya to those not using this stuff it's hard to clean out pads so that means very durable on paint!! This is my new favorite! Paint on my DD really looks wet!! And it's WHITE!! You guy's should try some! Thanks

Make a soaking solution in a bucket. Immerse the pad/applicator overnight.

Scrub with pad cleaning tool, rinse by immersing in warm water and swishing back and forth (like a washing machine) Rinse several times.

BFWD is the most difficult product I have ever used in terms of getting it out of the applicator!

Agree! I use Tide and some Purple Power degreaser in a fromt loading washing machine. I use the Sanitary selection to get the hotest water I can. They come clean with this method.

Thanks guy's for all the advise! MDRX8 my wife loves your idea, now that were getting a FRONT LOADER I can use it every now and then to wash my pads!!! LOL

I have the same problem with Wolfgang DGPS and have a red pad that it now owns. I eventually found that I can almost get all of it out by squirting a LOT of Dawn onto the pad and rubbing it straight in and then rinsing in a bucket. After 2 or 3 times it's almost all gone. In the spring I'm going to try some of my Bio Green Clean in a high concentration. I have a feeling that might do it better and faster. It's very strong stuff. Highly diluted it stripped the 5 Klasse SG layers off my wheels unexpectedly.
