Cleaned on the LX today :)

Well, here is my 93 LX that has the original paint on it everywhere except the driver's side; it was painted thanks to some woman who decided to try take me out. Needless to say it is interesting trying to keep the rest of the car looking close to what the drivers side does due to it having 2 yr old paint on it vs the original paint on the rest of the car. I am never truly satisfied with it but can't complain for it being a 93 with mostly original paint. This is a daily driven non garaged car.

Washed with Mequires deep crystal wash and clayed at the same time. Followed that up with Mequires #1 medium cut cleaner with PC and then Poorboys polish with Caruauba and topped with Nattys by hand.

I cannot lie; the front of the car should really have a bra on it; looks terrible from head on; notice there aren't any front shots :ticked Thanks for the compliments though; much appreciated :)

Looks really good man, After seeing this i think im gonna have to go out and clean up my 93 vert.

Be sure to post pics of your vert if you get out there and get it done :). Thanks for the compliments !!

If I could only afford a Lexus :). It would be nice to have as a daily driver so I could park the stang to drive on weekends!

Thanks Matt; they are very addicting cars for sure. This is my second one; I had an 88 GT but love the 93 much more. Not sure why; just like the way it rides better and of course the 306 with aluminum heads; custom grind cam and performer intake could have something to do with that :)

Nice car man. I just bought a PC and a bunch of PB products to bring the shine back to my 91 LX notchback. Hope I can get the kind of results you did. Great work!

Thanks BAjones; be sure to post some pics of your ride when you get it all cleaned up. What all did you get from Poorboys? I really want to get some of the SSRs but I am getting ready to be out of country until Feb next year so I guess I am just going to wait until I get back. This forum is certainly where I got the incentive to get my LX looking the way it does. :headbang

I have heard it called Electric red; I believe the Ford paint code is EG red or something like that. Some of the STS Cadilacs have something that is very similar but seems to "pop" a little more; if I could have it shot with one of those I would do it in a heart beat. Thanks for the compliment !
