Claying side panels

How do you do that?

It's relatively easy to do it on horizontal panels, but for the side panels, how do you avoid clay lube dripping? (And dripping lube doesn't do a good job at lubricating anymore.)

Thanks.

I usually just spray on enough to keep it lubed up and work my way down so I'm cleaning it up as I go. Hard to fight gravity.

I also work from top down, but to get rid of any left over residue from the clay, I will do a quick IPA wipe down when finished and before going onto the next step.

Ive found that this leads to a bit of marring on the side that touches the ground, so I stopped doing this.

I guess I just try to mist it as fine as possible, or spray a bit above the area so that when it does run down, its in the correct area.
