clay

Bump.

I used a clay bar on my wifes 98 cherokee sport a couple weeks ago and all I used was running water out of the hose. No marring, streaking or anything. Worked great! I personally think that the clay lubrications is just a ploy to pull more money out of you. All you really need is water to lubricate the surface you are cleaning. I think you will be quite suprised at the results you get.

My fiance just bought a used civic that most likely has never been clayed. The paint basically feels like sandpaper, do you guys recommend using the wash bucket method even when heavy duty claying is needed?

Doesn't kind of defeat the purpose of claying if you are using straight water as a lubricant? I guess it depends on the quality of your water.

Dam, today I clay a car and I see some smerring on it and I can't get it off. Did I not used enough QD? How do I get it off?
