Clay/SMR/Zaino question; need help quick

I do not wash after clay cause I clay while washing............
and sometimes when I spot clay after a wash and dry.....I just QD the area where I clayed......I never get residue or gook that would make me wash again....................

You might want to look at this thread . Also, if you look at the structure of that search, you might want to run the whole search yourself.
Like Guess My Name, I don't wash after claying either. But I've never had "clay residue" either (which, I think, is the only time you might want to wash??). I've used Mothers and ClayMagic and love 'em both -- Now I'm looking forward to the paint getting "contaminated" again so I can try Autopia's GBW.

Well, just finished claying with Zaino clay. What a chore. My silver car had lots of the "little black dots". I'm too tired to was today anyways 
I don't know what you mean by clay 'residue'. the paint looks a little hazy but there are no chunks or particles anywhere. Think it will be okay to pass on washing? Whatever light residue may be on there can't be any more harsh than #9 can it?

As for "hazy after claying": HUH????? Every time I finish claying the car is smooth as glass and amazingly shiny. In fact, folks generally think I've polished or waxed it. I use plenty of lube when claying, and when I wipe it off with a clean MF, the car just glows.

Thanks for the tip. I guess I have some confusion over the process. Basically I have a couple of cars to get full treatment this week. I want to clay, SMR #9, then Zaino them. I figured QD would cause Zaino bonding issues. Any tips to save time and effort (my back hurts ) are very welcome 
) are very welcome BamaJedi, have you done some reading about Zaino? Be sure to read the tips on the Zaino website . And Nick's Unsolicited Zaino tips and tricks has lots of other info.
Using the Z6 is a critical part of the Zaino process. You're supposed to use their QD between coats of Z2/Z5. And I regularly go from clay and QD on to Zaino.
