Clay Magic in at Autozone

I just bought it today. It's a great deal. But has anyone tried it out yet?? If it's not as good, I'll take it back and go to Wal-Mart and buy the Mothers Clay Bar for $4 more.

Is the lube that comes in the box completely useless? I decided to use my Meguiar's while claying, so now I have a full bottle sitting on my shelf.

Man wtf I went to my auto zone and asked if they had any clay magic clay bars and they looked at me like I was from outer space or something.....

Guess Ill be driving 15 miles + to the other store and trying them!

Jason or anyone else in the NYC area. The Autozone located at 464 Coney Island Ave Brooklyn, NY 11218 (718) 435-6827 has Claymagic. Went by on Saturday to pick up some oil and they had it on the shelf this time. So I couldn’t resist not to buy another box. I feel for you guys who can’t get it locally for 10 bucks. This stuff is great! It’s really addictive once you use it. It has a very nice feel to it, stays put on your fingers when claying, is easy to reshape and really sucks up the contaminants and leaves a smoooooooth surface. The lube I find to be good also, has a soapy smell to it, not as nice smelling as Mothers or Meguiars but it does the job. I use the extra lube I have from the kits around the house and find it does a good job at removing crud on the granite counter tops and glass cook tops. Of course use with a MF.

Later...........Syker:cool:

Thanks for the heads up Syker. I currently have the full size 200 gram bars at $19 each (red or blue.) I think the next time I go to that Autozone of spot the clay kit for $10 I'll pick two up. Free lube :)

1st post! - Glad I found this thread on Clay Magic. I bought a Meguiars kit from Auto Zone awhile ago only to find out that they no longer carry it when Iwent to get another. Instead, they had "Clay Magic" so I grudgingly picked it up. But not having much experience with claying in general I wasn't really sure about the quality/differences between the two. Glad to see that Clay Magic is the prefered brand. And you can't beat the price @ $9.99.:xyxthumbs I'm looking forward to participating here on this awesome site.

I just tried some Clay Magic after seeing all the raves from this forum. However, I found the Mother's bar to be easier to use because it is less prone to streaking. And a better deal to boot (at least up here in Canada), and you get the QD and some cleaner wax. The Clay Magic is about twice as much money here. You get a little more than twice the amount of clay, but nothing else with it. It does come with a cellophane glove for checking the paint surface, and a nice little container.

I picked up the Clay Magic bar today at Autozone today for $9.99. It looks like a great kit. I also got one of those nice Viking Wax apps that have the small handle at the top. I love those !!!!!!:up
