dont want to use ONR for a lube...

what is another option for bulk clay lube? I have used last touch for the last 10 gallons (mixed 1:1 from a 5 gal)

anything else out there that I should try out within the same price range? $75 for 10 gallons is pretty good!

I use OID at ready to use ratio diluted 1:1. Quite economical when you buy the 32oz or gallon concentrated bottles.

not as smooth as clay lubes to me. I did a comparison with dishsoap, ONR, and last touch. LT left the least amount of marring and preserved the clay, ONR left more marring, and dish soap less marring but ate away the clay.

personal preference I guess

I've found that soap keeps the contamination from sticking to the clay so the clay lasts longer.

You have to find the amount of soap that keeps buildup from getting on the clay, but not so much it eats the clay. Balance. Keep a bucket of fresh water handy and always rinse before folding, so you don't fold soap into the clay, that makes mush.

i use cg's citrus wash and gloss after i've washed the car with it, i use the remainder to clay the car never had a problem with it eating away at the clay, i use megs white clay, maybe it's the clay you're using, just a thought.

Why not stick to Last Touch? Is there something about Last touch you don't like that I missed? I've been using it for years at 1:1 and it works great and is very economical. I can't/don't see the need for me to use something else when Last Touch is so easily bought locally.

I tried HD Free 2 months ago and it worked great, but before that I used water with dishsoap and I have used Mothers QD- Which is amazing but I would never use it for clay as its too good of a QD and not cost effective. FREE is only $24 and 35% off for now and it make 10 gallons, making it extremely cost effective. In terms of cost effectiveness I think thats the best and it wont degrade clay.
