Picked up a Mothers brand clay bar. No difference than the Zaino. The clay bars seem to smear the water spots into the paint. Tried another cleaner wax (the Mothers that came with it). Nada. Tried HOT water hoping it would dissolve better. Nada.
Ran this by a guy at work who has a blue Viper and he said try Windex. Tried it on a small spot AND IT WORKED!!! What sucks is, the smeared in spots that I clayed (which is 3/4 of that side that has the water spots) don't come out with Windex. I don't really want to use Windex do I? Ammonia? Paint looks fine though. :nixweiss
Weird thing is, I can scrape the water spots off with my fingernails no problem. All gone. Bad thing is, the fingernails leave scratches (BLACK paint folks).
This really blows. :doh Gonna try and find a water spot cleaner (saw one online somewhere) and order some pads and cleaners for my new PC 7336. The spots come off with fingernails, so I'm hoping they'll come off with the PC.
Then again, they come off with Zaino Z-PC. So I think I'll try a non-abrasive PC solution first, then the Z-PC. I'm really hoping for a non-abrasive solution. Although after all this f-ing around, I think I have so many swirls (even though I'm using the USA 100% cotton crap) that I might want to go the Swirl Remover yellow pad route. :nixweiss
Any better ideas??
