Clay bar ?

Stokdgs- Much as I like the stuff (Glyde), by the sound of it you'd be wasting $ to try it since you have the Dodo Juice stuff. I gather its [whatever makes it so slippery] doesn't compromise the effectiveness of the claying the way "waxy" stuff like Griot's SpeedShine does (not hating on that product, except for its use as a clay lube).

So can a clay lube be to slick? I have heard some guys mention that...

IMO, *potentially* at least, yes. Itcould cause the clay to glide (apologies to Sonus ;) ) or slide over the contamination rather than allowing the clay to "bump into it" sufficiently hard to shear it off. That's the problem I have with SpeedShine, it's like the wax/whatever it is coats the contamination and the clay goes over it rather than into it.

BUT...I honestly don't know if that's the same as "too slick" and I kinda suspect it's *not*. I do think it's in the same (theoretical?) ballpark though.

Thanks for all the info.. I've tried clay and a Nanoskin handy towel, preferred the towel, thin so you can feel when the contamination is gone and rinses just like a MF towel. cheap too
