Clay bar questions

Hmmm. Thats actually a neat idea. If only the box that came with it held in water. It looks cool. Too bad....

Meg's clay kits give you a little black box for holding the clay...works perfect for storing the clay in a liquid bath, though some here have said storing clay in lube is pointless.

How many years the un-opened clay can be stored? I have 3 + years old clays in the package and am thinking about using them now.

I recently used some Griot's clay that was at least 8 (yeah, *eight*) years old. It wasn't even unopened either. It was perfectly OK. I've stockpiled enough Smart Clay to last me for many, many years and I'm confident that it'll stay good.

I've simply *never* had a problem with clay drying out or otherwise going bad..*except* when I've stored it in lube/QD/etc., which IME does more harm than good.
