Clay Applicator Pad for PC?

When I detail cars, most of them need to be clayed after washing. Most of the cars get detailed every 6 months, whether they need it or not. I currently clay by hand, but I have seen where different companies offer a pad to use with the PC. Has anyone tried using one of the clay pads with his or her PC?

Think about how dirty the clay gets, and how fast it can get dirty.



Now remember a time when you picked up a particle (because you heard or felt it) and immediatly folded and got a clean side of the clay.





Now imagine that the clay is moving at whatever rpm you have a MACHINE going, you can now no longer feel or hear particles. So it picks up a particle, and unlike the hand method where you may have laid down one small straight line mark, the machine is still spinning tearing up the paint as it goes because the clay has this tiny rock or something embedded in it...

Griots Garage makes one I found a review online for it, suppose to work well.
 
I am just not clear why any manufacturer would ever make something like that. It just seems obvious that it would cause damage. I'd like to see a review on the Griot's one that isn't written by Griot's. Autopia has thousands of members. You would think that out of all those avid detailers at least one person who doesn't have a financial interest in it would have used it. I think that common sense cries out against using something like that. Some steps in the process just shouldn't be cut. Claying is something that is supposed to take time. What is the big hurry to get it done? Using a machine to clay is like kicking up the temperature in the oven so the turkey will cook faster. lol

He has a small video of him using it also. But I did notice in all reviews and this guy's page, u have to use a good amount of speed shine and set the portercable at a low speed. I personally probably only use this on a not so dirty car if i got it.
 
Huge waste of clay, lube, time and effort........:down



I can clay a sedan sized car faster and more efficiently than if I were to use that clay pad thingamajiggy:D
