Clay after wax?

Ok I waxed my car a few days ago and have bug splatter on my bumper just form everyday use, is it safe for the wax to use the clay on it? Or will it take off the wax?

Also what are some QD methods I can do to my car everyday so I won't be having as much fine dirt sitting across the car?

I've seen the QD method in artical section or whatever but I'm just lookin for more ideas.

Hi there I've heard the clay from Sonus, in particular the extra fine clay seems to work for everyday claying... or I should say everytime you need to clay. Can be found at http://store.bettercarcare.com/son-3200-2.html... In your case where frequent claying is necessary I would recommend claying as you wash you car using the soap water for lube.

Clay will remove some of the wax . Instead of claying why not just clean the bug juice off with a waterless wash or quick detailer product. :buffing:

I use clay (suring the wash) +almost exclusively for bug removal, and these days I usually use the new green Sonus clay. Whether it'll remove the wax or not will depend on how aggressively you have to clay to remove all the bug stuff. I suppose you oughta plan on a quick touch-up but you'll just have to see. Last time I removed bugs from the front of the MPV and my wife's A8 it didn't take off an appreciable amount of LSP.

I don't QD to remove dust, too great a risk of marring for me. I either do a full wash or I don't touch it.
