Had a father and son drop both of there rides off to get some much needed loving prior to storing them away for the winter.

First up was the 68 Chevelle in a nice navy blue metallic paint. The over condition was decent but it had a bunch of DA sanding marks from the initial orange peel removal process that were still present.

Going to try to keep this short and sweet. Both cars were corrected with a combination of M100, M205 with microfiber cutting pads and rupes white finishing pads. Machines used were Boss g21, Adams swirl killer mini. I usually don`t like to wash classics but there was no getting around it with these two cars, so a traditional wash was done prior to claying.

Both interiors were given a quick clean up via Mckees fast interior detailer and Mckees 70/30 leather shampoo (corvette seats).

Tires got the standard prep with LATA and dressed with hyper dressing.

Both vehicles were coated with IGL Quartz+

Great job!
If you don`t mind, why don`t you like doing classics?

Never said I don`t like to work on classics. I don`t like to wash them as water can be trapped in them and cause rot to form. Classics usually should be rinseless wash or waterless washed. In this case these cars needed a traditional wash.

Got you. May bad.

Nice work. Both cars look awesome. I know what you mean about washing classics. I owned my `68 Camaro convertible for 15 years and it never once saw a drop of water.

I never really liked that anniversary edition Vette paint scheme... But... The hottest girl in my high school drove that exact car so of course.. It`s got good memories....

Yeah I usually like to do rinseless or waterless if I can. As for the anniversary paint scheme this car is actually reversed in colors. The pace car scheme had black on top and silver on the bottom. I actually like the way he did it with silver on top.

They came and picked up last night and we`re very happy. Going to be doing a Grand Torino next year for them.
