Have a show comming up in a couple of weeks and my 78 MGBs engine bay was starting to get nasty from spirited driving.

first sprayed it down with Gunk Citrus engine cleaner

blew the water dry with compressed air

cleaned all the paint, chrome and brass surfaces with PBs PP with a foam pad

applied EX-P to all surfaces

NL on all the hoses and belts

the Professional polish really does a great job on chrome and brass with little effort.

I think it came out good and should be ready for Euro 2006 show at the BMW plant in Greenville, SC.

Very nice car . The car is definetely the right color, but I would change the top out to black IMO. I know the interior match works, but the black looks better on the green IMO. I really like the TF and TD cars from the early 1950's. I have never owned an MG or a Triumph, but I do see one happening in the near future !!!

Engine bay looks simply outstanding, and the paint looks insane !!! :)

Car looks great w/o those otrocious 5 mph black rubber bumpers.

Dean.

Thanks Scott and Dean for the kind words.

Dean,

I have a Triumph Spitfire with the black top and BRG color combo and wanted something different for the MG. I also hated the ugley black rubber bumpers and think the conversion was the way to go.

here is my 80 Spitfire sporting a few coats of Natty Blue.

Mang thats one sweet MG. The color is perfect too. One tough question, how hard its to adjust the fuel mixture on those twin Webber carbs?

That Spitfire is sweeeeeet !!! You have a very impressive collection !!!

I picked-up my first Brittish car this afternoon a 1986 Jaguar XJ Coupe V12 w/ low very miles. Needs some TLC, but just cosmetic stuff. I hope to get my hands on something worth posting soon.

Thanks for sharing those pics !!!
