Chromish looking grille 06 Civic

Some mild or chemical cleaner like Klasse AIO or Poorboys Pro Polish would work. And then add your favorite wax atop.
 
IMHO i think any products that are abrassive might scratch the finish ..

Are you applying them by hand/machine?
 
I'll be using a PC. So I'm just wondering should I tape it off during sealing and wax. The car is 6mos old so this is the first wax it will be getting. I know...I know I should have done this when car was purchased. But, I like a lot of people was under the impression that you should wait about a year b4 waxing.

A chemical cleaner like Klasse AIO or PP doesn't have any abrasives in it = no damage. 99% of all waxes don't have abrasives in it. They may have some cleaners in it... but not abrasives that'll hurt the piece you are talking about.

On my old Chevy I just used some window cleaner to keep the piece looking good. But if there are bugs or stuff on it AIO or PP would be your best bet IMO.

Do it all by hand- too risky to use a machine.
