Chrome Waxing?

Do you wax chrome trim, like chrome grilles, moldings etc. for better protection? Is the regular non-abrasive paint glaze wax suitable, or there are some special waxes for chrome?

What if I use the same wax for paint and for chrome?

(by saying chrome, I mean not only chrome plated metal, but also chromed plastic parts).

Thanks in advance ;)

Yeah, I use everything from Collinite to KSG to Souveran on my chrome. But I'm kinda leaning towards the more durable stuff just so I don't have to do it as often.

I even arrested the (admitedly very slight, just getting started) peeling of "chromed plastic" with many (~12) layers of KSG! That was on chip-initiated damge to the Jag's upper grill, and it's still fine after at least five years.

If you (Domas) are speaking of chrome plated metal then us Collinite #850

I usually take some #0000 steel wool to it to get the big stuff gone, then follow up with some light polish, cleaner wax, or even an AIO, then put whatever sealant/wax I feel like at the time.
