Choosing a wash-mitt

hello,



what do i look for when buying my first wash-mitt?



Is genuine lambswool better than 100% cotton, for example.



Which one did you buy?

Most of us here use either pure lambswool mitts or 100% cotton chenille mitts. Bigger the better. Softer the better.



That's about all there is to it. It ain't rocket science. Buy the biggest, softest mitt you can find.



Smart Autopians have a minimum of 4 mitts on hand - 2 being used during each wash and 2 on standby in case one gets damaged or badly soiled. I use 3 mitts each wash and have an on hand inventory of approx 25 mitts as back up.
 
I have ONE mf wash mitt from CMA and thats more than enough and it works great. I just take good care of it, dont use it on anything but the main body and always rinse extremely well. Then I just put it on a beer bottle in my room where it sits until I need it for the next washing.



I have no clue why you would need more than one good one. I do have a not a 100% cotton one I use for my wheels and trim...
 
I use 100% cotton mitts. Like Bret I use 3 during the washing process and have 8 new mitts "in-stock" in my stash.
 
I've been using the Viking 100% Cotton Wash mitt for a while and I like it. I only use 2 each wash and also have a couple for backup.

I have some Lambswool mits I bought at costco. They have been great and I can't wait until they get more in the spring.

I was going to get the first one, "blue smaller MF mitt" but which one do you recommend?
 
For local availability I like to suggest sheepskin because it works and real 100% cotton is too hard to find if it's even available. Same for MF mitts, which people have mixed feelings about because of MFs tendency to "grab" and hold any dirt/debris it comes in contact with (just imagine the last time you dropped a MF in the driveway).



I have to credit my father, from whom I got the 2 sheepskin mitts I currently use, for making smart purchases so long ago (they're old). :xyxthumbs
