If we get enough peeps to pull this off, we ought to set up a "meet and greet" sort of thing and then do a detailing meet.



I do have a couple of ideas for spots where we could all meet at.

I drove through downtown Racine last summer (took Lake Shore Drive/Sheridan Road) and was quite impressed. I even found Porter's of Racine (they advertise down here) but they were closed when I got up there.

I may have been there depending on what week it was. It is actually not a car show, just a hangout for the local car guys. Happens every sunday night as long as the weather is nice.

I like the Lake Front. I spend as much of my summer there as I can. Porters makes some excellent furniture. My wife and I bought a nice desk there. It was our first piece of furniture we bought that wasn't made of pressed wood, so we were quite pleased. :D

We should first find out what day of the week is best for everyone. I'm assuming that it's gotta be a weekend thing.



For the next month (till June 21st) Sat's are bad for me (school) but after that all summer I'm good either Sat's or Sun.



Please post which day is best, that way we can get this thing rolling. . .
 
Hmmm. Volo won't be a bad idea. But where can we all gather and eat at for this meet?



I also thought about the D&B in Addison and a restaurant in Lombard.



I have an idea. When can we all meet in the chat room to discuss this a little further?
 
I know there are more of us Chicagoans (transplanted or not) on the board. Come on in and post so we can get to know you. :D

I'm from originally from Brighton Park to! I used to live on the corner of 45 th and Francisco in the big house on the corner (three car garage). I moved out to the south suburbs 13 years ago.
 
I moved out of Brighton Park in 1981 I useto own the two flat at 4512 S Whipple that use to be a very good neighborhood I dont know about now . I moved to Lyons and stayed their till 1998 I now live in Brookfield which is only i suburb over. If you lived at 45th and Francisco before 1981 I must of ran into you at some point

I'll be in detroit for the Metallica concert on the 4th weekend, so that weekends out for me too.
