I get my 2 and 4 ounce sample bottles from the Container Store. I get my condiment bottles from a company called Restaurant Depot.

Here's an idea: Why don't we pool our money together, have one person buy all the products, then have everyone send that person empty bottles (with a list of the products they want to try) to be filled and shipped back. Everyone pays for their own shipping.

That sound like a pretty good idea, but first we would need to take an inventory of things owned, things wanted, and things currently ordered:

Owned:

1. I own no CG products, alhough I am willing to purchase the Sealant + nuba' x 3 if enough money is generated. I cannot use 1 gallon of product though, so I would need several people interested.

Wanted:

1. Sealant + nuba' x 3

2. BWW

3. Product equivalent to ssr 2.5

Ordered:

1. I have ordered no products

This may seem kinda' lame, but it's the best way to keep track of what people have. Feel free to copy and paste the above into a reply and add accordingly.

Spray Wax & Quick Detail

EXTREME TOP-COAT PAINT SEALANT+ 3X CARNAUBA

ReVive Glaze & Polish - PAINT RESTORE & RESHINE

Crystal Glaze & Polish

Medium Compound

Ultra Light Compound

Professional Grade Miracle Window Glass Cleaner

I'm willing to buy these products and send out samples, but i'll need some help to defray the costs.

I would be interested in the following:

Express Wax Gold

Spray Wax & QD

All Guard X-Traordinarie Tire & Vinyl Dressing

Super Foam-Maxi Suds

Miracle Window Glass Cleaner

Revive Glaze & Polish

What needs to be done to get the ball rolling?

In order to get this ball rolling we woulde need the following:

1. Someone to volunteer to order the products (RCbuddah has)

2. A determined price for a certain quantity of product before a empty bottle is shipped to the purchaser.

Example:

1. I can buy the sealant + Nuba for the prices of 46.68 + $10 shipping for let just say $55

2. 128 oz/ 16 oz = Eight (8) 16 oz bottles of product.

3. $55/ 8 oz = ~$7, so around $7 for 16 oz. + the cost of shipping back to you (lets think high ~$5)

4. $12 per 16 oz bottle of product/ $6 for 8 ozs etc.

The price could probably be cheaper depending on shipping price back to you. Suggestions or comment about this are welcome.

I was thinking about 4oz. samples, could go 8oz. though. How about we get a list of people that are willing to buy the products and then sell out samples to individuals that want them. The people who buy products just trade amongts themselves. I'm willing to buy some extra bottles mostly 4oz. and 8oz. and send them out to people, I would also pay for shipping. Hope other people feel the same way. Like I said, this is only amongts the people who have bought some of the other products I do not have. To others they will have to pay for shipping and the sample, this can be worked out though. What do ya think?

The only problem generated using small samples would be for the person who buys the gallon of product and potentially finds that the product sucks. It then gets spread around Autopia that the product sucks and they are left with a gallon of product that not only sucks but no one wants to buy any samples either.

I am not opposed at all to small samples of the product that are in the gallon size for under $22-25. But, when we speak of $50 and the potential of having a bulk quantity of sucky product, it bothers me.

I realize $50 is not a fortune, but I'm pinching pennies here. Medical school, wife and child really breaks the bank, ya know?

As for the list I was trying to get that established here as well. It seems to have sputtered to halt though. There are a few interests here and there, but I think we will have to be the guinne pigs on this one before any interest manifests.

Hey JJ, i will pay pal you for the sealant x3, a whole half gallon, then i will take some responsibility for distributing some samples also.

I have in mind empty 16 oz. soda or water bottles, how many bottles is a 1.2 gallon?

Thats how i will send the samples out too, not too many people are going to ship me, or anyone else, empty bottles, but i have pleanty of soda bottles around, then people can put them into whatever they want.

John, Go with their Original tire dressing... same thing but higher concentration of resins ... dilute if needed. I throw some in your parcel if you want?

JJ,

I think interest will increase once some reviews get posted. I agree, we may have to be guinea pigs on this.

1. Someone should generate a master "want to try" list.

2. I will buy one or two of the most requested.

3. I will sample it out to those who email me.

4. Price per sample will depend on what size you ask for and a flat shipping rate of $5 should suffice for USPS Priority Mail.

I'm willing to buy one or two products at a time, and sample it out till its gone. At that point, I will buy the next two most requested products and go until they run out.

HOWEVER, its gonna suck if there is one product that I get that people don't end up liking, and get stuck with like a 1/2 gallon (like you said). I'm also gonna have to figure out how to include the cost of boxes/bottles/packing materials...Maybe a flat fee? :nixweiss

Here's what I think will be the most common products that people are curious to try:

EXTREME TOP-COAT PAINT SEALANT+ 3X CARNAUBA

Butter Wet Wax-WET LOOK SHINE

All Guard - Original Tire & Vinyl Dressing

ReVive Glaze & Polish - PAINT RESTORE & RESHINE

Medium Compound

Ultra Light Compound

Spray Wax & Quick Detail

Maybe start with these? :nixweiss

Craig .. I'm interested in everything on your list excluding the Butter Wet Wax-WET LOOK SHINE and All Guard - Original Tire & Vinyl Dressing which I already own. Count me in on sharing costs on the other products in return for some samples.

PS. If you buy the products, you might want to think about joining their buyers club.. one of their levels is free to enter but gives you an extra 5% off the price. FYI: Shipping normally works out at about $5 per gallon for me (CA to SC), if I order 4 gallons at a time.

Cool, I'll keep that in mind when I start ordering products.

I like it Perry ... Not as much as Z16, my favorite water based dressing but at $16 a gallon it is one of my favorite products from CG's. It's a slightly thickened liquid, white water based emulsion, smells OK, spreads easy, dries to the touch. medium to medium high shine, too much shine for my taste on interiors but good for tires and external trim. Buffs out OK.

So how should we do this? Maybe give one person $10-15 to order stuff? Then we can send him/her containers plus shipping to get to everyone? What?
