Cheerleader Car Washes...

I see these about 1 mile from my house at least once a month. This weekend my friend and I were in my Vette and suggested we go there, and I said no because I didn't want my paint scratched up.

I once let the Hooter's girls wash my car. Never again. I had to go home immediately and rewash it and polish out a couple sections.

Gave it the good 'ol boobie buff.

I wouldn't go to thru one of those washes, after seeing what the wash bucket/towels look like!! You know they aren't thinking about marring my paint. What I have done before was to throw them a small donation, just for. They looked a bit confused as I declined the wash, that I was giving them money for.

Guys, dont take your car, take the clients. Ya kill two birds with one stone................The windows become amazingly clean on the outside, and your going to polish the car anyway, so buff out any added stuff! And its all for ....ahem..., a worthy cause.

How many "washmitts" were they using? 3?

Mits? Heck most of them use brushes. I've been involved in several over the past few years as bot my son and daughter's soccer teams has used them for a fund raiser. It's not for an Autopian by any means, but you have to remember that 80% of the people , if not more, don't really care how their car is washed. I tried to educate them on proper ways of washing to diminish the possibilities of damage, but it often went to no avail. They never did touch my Navigator, except for one time, my son's senior class was doing a car wash and one of the boys picked up the old bucket of dirty soap at the end of the day and threw it all over my vehicle. My wife, who was down there helping, and son just stared in disbelief as they knew how I took care of our vehicles. :hairpull :D

This thread is quite amusing. Great, now I'm thinking about well endowed women doing all my detailing for me. How sweet would that be!?

And you didn't take pictures while you were there?

No, that was just after I had rented a car when mine was in the shop and left my camera in it. I called the rental place before they even opened the next day and they claimed it was gone-gone because one of their employees stole it. :angry

Figures you went home and rubbed one out.

When I lived in Charleston, there was a 'gentelman's club' there that did topless carwashes - they just had a tent in the parking lot where they did them. Not sure how much it cost, but if a Coke is $6 inside...well...do the math...

LOL... funny topic. I thought of posting the same yesterday when I came home and saw a "Free car wash" flyer behind the screen door. I feel bad driving by especially when little kids are out yelling and pointing to the car wash for a good charity cause. It is one of the very rare occasions where I feel *bad* about being a perfectionist with my vehicle :(
