While I wait on the Klasse and Colonite 845 to arrive for my wife's Range Rover I thought I would wax my F150. The truck is white so I figured I would just try some cheap wax I could buy locally. I stopped on base (Ft. Stewart GA) to pick something up and noticed this Prestone wax on sale for $1.27... The guy behind the counter said they were not going to carry it anymore but it was OK wax. For that price I couldnt pass it up.
I went home washed the truck, hit it with the water blade and then my yard blower.. Im lazy with this truck, it's too damn big. Anyway I applied my $1.27 wax and buffed it off. I was pretty surprised with the result. As I said, the truck is white so I wasnt expecting too much. It turned out much better than I expected it to. Now that I realize that my white truck can look this good I am going to have to think about a better product to try. The Prestone is some sort of synthetic product. It was very easy to apply and remove and for just over a buck I guess I can't complain.
Any suggestions for what I should try next? I ordered the Klasse and Colonite for the smooth black trim on the RR Sport which is black. Is there a product that will work equally well on black and white or am I going to have to order 2 different products, one for the black RR Sport and one for my white F150?
thanks, I love this site..
