Cheap Finds

lol, your not missing out on anything, other than a bunch of crack heads and the occational normal looking person. lol You can be poor with class or rich with no class.

Classless because you shop at a dollar store???

:hmph:

I think what he was trying to say was the people he see at the dollars stores in his area don't have class. And that you dont have to be poor to have no class, rich people can be "trashy" too. I dont think he meant anyone going to a dollar store is poor trash. I admit to stopping in Big Lots 1-2 times a year and honestly the clientel is quite different than I see if I go to other large retailers.

By the way..they had a new stock of products made by Nathans...anyone ever heard of them?

I haven't bought any for a while, but the stuff I did buy back then was generally pretty good.

Their "Wash & Wax" sheets off fairly well, cleans fairly well, is not slick at all. I don't think I'd feel too comfortable using it on a really crustied up muddy finish. Finished look isn't bad, especially for 97¢.

I plan on never buying their tire spray again. (Also 97¢) It streaked, got spotty, slung; Didn't like it at all.

Their cleaner wax (Again-97¢) isn't too bad. I can't remember how long it lasted, but it looks not bad on a not-totally-shot car. Cleans up some oxidation, nice shine, not too much for swirls/scratches. I would probably recommend this wax to someone that didn't care too much about subtle differences between the looks of different products, didn't want to do mutlipe steps, and wanted a cheap wax. Especially considering its price, I think it's a great value. I think it works better than Turtle Wax. :lol

The APC-works well enough on general grime. Not too potent aromatically. Another 97¢ special. Not sure of its environmental impacts etc.

Actually, except for the tire dressing, I think an "everyday/average" person could maintain their car fairly well with the Nathan's line. And they'd be able to buy a "kit" for under $10.00

I fully agree, chances are if you go into a dollar store vs. a lets say, sacks fifth avenue, you will see some scaryer looking people. I shop at a dollar store, but I dont look or act like 50% of the people in there.

Best deal I have got is once I used my uncle's p21s and saw he payed $30 for it, i went to the harly dealership and payed $14 for it. Best deal I have ever gotten. I know that is the normal price, but compared to $30, its a deal.

My family shops most of the time at Walmart, K-mart, Sams Club, Kostas, Big Lots , Aldis, and yes a Dollor Bill store. Money is to hard to come by. If you got the money then by all means spend it at all the expensive stores. If not then you have to be smart.

For 3.99 I had to give this a shot.

3dog, How do you like it? I picked up the TW WW today.

They also had Mr clean eraser 4 pk for $2.50 (wheel and tire not sure if any difference)

Mr clean filter and soap for the car wash system. I think they where $4.99 each but I can't remember for sure.

A nice turtle wax tire brush and some TW sheepshin mitts. Can't remember the price on those.
