This forum is incredible. I'm so glad I found it! On to my questions...



I was reading through some posts and thought that I read that Acura Integras don't have a clearcoat. Can someone confirm this?



Also, the car has "leather" seats. Does anyone know if it's "real" leather or if it's leatherette, or maybe even something else? I just bought the car, haven't even picked it up yet, and I'm gonna give it a real good cleaning. I just need to find out the makeup of the parts before I start. Hopefully someone here knows, although it seems a lot of people are rolling in cars a lot nicer than an Integra!

in BLACK and it has a clearcoat. I can't confirm it but I have heard that some of the type R's do not have a clear coat and I think it was only the YELLOW ones...........



BE careful though, the acura paint is very finicky when using abrasives.....very easy to marr..........



What color and year is your integra?

Perhaps you can PM me some tips you have for detailing your Integra? I'd like to ask you a few questions.
 
It doesn't get the attention I would like to give it since my GF is "leasing it" from me till she gets her A4, but I try to keep it look'n good. This spring I am gonna start over from scratch........

If Integras don't have clear coats then I've got to give more credit to Klasse and Blackfire for the way they make my car shine. ;) I'm sure they have clear coats. The seats are real leather. They do have a tendency to crack on the sides though. Keep an eye on that.



Is that an antenna I see on your car DK? My 99 GSR sedan doesn't have one. I thought they stopped putting them on the Integra in 99 or something. Intersting.

I love the integras. I had a black '94 (1st year of the 3rd generation) and it definitely had a clearcoat. Trading her in to get my Lexus IS300 something I'll regret for a very long time.

Integra drivers of the forums unite!! :) Sorry I forgot about ya Rick. My bad. I guess I should amend that statement to say that I'm pretty sure there aren't too many G3 tegers on the board. ;)

Ok. New amendment. I think that most of the fellas on this board have an Integra. I'm not sure about that though. ;) Howzat?
