Changing from Hand to machine

Ive just paid for a uk version of the cyclo so am awaiting arrival of it. (i bought a rotary but was advised for a machine polish begineer, a rotary wasnt a good idea)

Anyway, my point.....

I guess im going to have to change my combo as maybe some of my hand applied products dont work so well with a machine.

Basically i have in my paintwork arsenal;

Cleaners

NXT wax

AIO (carlack 68)

P21s Cleaner

Autoglym pro polish (pink stuff)

Sealent

Poorboys EX w carnuba

Wax

1z Glanz wax

#16

P21s carnuba

Im happy with the prep of the paint, ie very few swirls/scratches so i wont be cutting it at all, i just want a super fantastic OTT shine. (maybe im putting too much faith in the machine)

Can i apply any of the cleaners by machine? Likewise will EX and any of the waxes work well with the machine? What pads will i need? will finishing pads be ok for all 3 stages? Should i use the machine to take the LSP off too?

Hi Andy. Welcome to the world of machine polishing. Yes, your entire product range can be applied and removed via machine. Paint cleansing and correction is a breeze, your finish will have a deeper, more noticeable glow, and waxing will become effortless. However, youâ€â„¢ll need a selection of pads corresponding to the application. Cleaning and correction should be done with polishing pads, as finishing pads do not have enough bite. As you become more and more familiar with your Cyclo, youâ€â„¢ll quickly add a variety of pads to the arsenal. Finishing pads should be used exclusively with light-paint cleansers and LSPâ€â„¢s. Please see the link below. Good luck :xyxthumbs

Andy69- You'll like the Cyclo. It's especially great for applying #16.

I always had a bit of trouble using AIO with it though, it seems to "flash" a bit too fast. Autoglym's SRP, on the other hand, works great by Cyclo.

I use the finishing pads with SRP with no problems, but if you're doing any heavy duty cleaning you'll need to clean them after a few panels. The green polishing pads can be a little aggressive for some paints, you just have to see what happens.

You might oughta look into some of the 4" pads offered by other makers. I seem to be one of the few people who actually like the Cyclo brand pads.

I like to use MF bonnets over the foam pads for product removal.

holy cow.... that is a result!!!

but unfortunatly i took it back to the machine mart and got a refund, so i'll just have the cyclo
