Hello, I'm a new user to this site. I've been reading the archive and putting together my detailing notes. I've been a long time Zymol user but would like to try Klasse. Anyways, I waxed my new S2000 a month ago with Zymol and would like to do the following every 3 months:

1. Wash with P21S Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo

2. Zymol HD-Cleanse to remove old wax

3. Klasse AIO (1 coat)

4. Klasse SG (1 coat)

5. Zymol Japon wax

Some questions:

How does this list look?

Are steps 2 and 3 BOTH necessary? Or are they both doing the the same thing?

Is Klasse SG applied wet or dry?

I've read that some people have had problems with haze left over with klasse SG. Is there something I can do to prevent this?

Thanks. This is a great site!

Welcome to the forum! Your plan sounds fine, but I suggest adding maybe more layers of SG before adding the Zymol wax.

So maybe like this:

1. Wash with P21S Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo <em class='bbc'>(very good lubricity :up )[/i]
2. Zymol HD-Cleanse to remove old wax <em class='bbc'>(and also deep-clean the paint)[/i]
3. Klasse AIO <em class='bbc'>(1 coat)[/i]
4. Klasse SG <em class='bbc'>(3 or more coats; try to wait at least 24 hours between coats. You can just wash, and add a layer weekly until you are satisfied) [/i]
5. Zymol Japon wax <em class='bbc'>(after you are satisfied with the SG)[/i]

Step 2 isn't necessary if the paint is already in pretty good condition, as the AIO will perform a similar task. Klasse SG is applied dry, preferably with a foam applicator and <strong class='bbc'>thin[/b] coats. If you see any haze then try to wipe it off with a damp microfiber towel.

Great car, btw!

Thanks for the tips BW and Don2000g. I didn't know that additional coats of Klasse SG can be applied over several days or even up to a week later.

Klasse sure can be layered days afterwards! Just make sure to give it a good wash and don't put any glazes or waxes on top until you are all done with the Klasse layers!

Don't worry about the haze. If you DO get it, give us all of the details and we'll try to figure out the cause again.

Puterbum is correct. For best results, try to layer the Klasse Sealant Glaze. I've found that you really see a big or significant improvement after the 3rd coat. Laters

This is my first real write up, so bare with me.

The car is a silver 2000 Boxster S with only 30K miles on it. I was expecting much worse as the client had told me that the car had only been waxed twice during the ten years hes owned it. It was in pretty good shape and cleaned up very well. This was my first car for a new client which he sent to me to test out my services, thankfully he was very happy with the result and I'll be working on more of his vehicles (he collects Porsches, among others).

Here is the list of products used during the detail,

-Optimum Car Wash
-Dawn Dish Soap
-Menzerna 7.5 Gel Wheel Cleaner

The car was pretty dirty and had been sitting outside for a few weeks, all of the usual areas of concern needed to be attended to.

Pulled the car back inside and clayed it with Blackfire Polyclay, here is what the clay showed after doing half the hood. It's far from terrible but could definitely benefit from claying.

I then inspected the car using a variety of lights, the only one that showed me anything were the halogen work lights at a sharp angle. For being ten years old the paint was in great shape with only a some light scratches.

The car was given a 1-step polish using M205 on a white LC pad with a Flex rotary. The 'after' shots were taken as I was polishing, so the adjacent panels will show some scratches. After polishing the car was sealed with BFWD.

Thanks for looking guys, I hope I'll have more to post in the future. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I appreciate it!

Also, the rear window on the convertible top is plastic and had some haziness to it. I tried some Novus plastic polish that the client offered me, as well as Klasse and M205, none of which made any difference. I've never tried Plexus, and wished I'd had some with me, is there anything you guys would recommend for this?

Hey Connor,

The car looks awesome. It cleaned up very nicely. I know form personal experience how hard it is to make silver look that good.

Thanks for sharing with us.
