CG Wheel Guard vs. PB Wheel Sealant?

Has anyone done a comparison of Chemical Guys' Wheel Guard product vs. Poorboy's Wheel Sealant?

I'm using up my supply of wheel sealant, and I like it. But before buying another jar I was wondering if I should try Wheel Guard instead.

Thanks.

Its most likely the same or very similar. Just buy whichever is cheaper. I recommend and use duragloss 501/105 on wheels and 951 after every wash

Neither of three products you have mentioned are all that good at keeping brake dust at bay for very long.

There are various posts regarding wheel sealants and using sealants on the wheels. Extra Gloss Protection is a good product for the wheels, easy to apply and remove and very durable and excellent at repeling brake dust. Maintaing any product on the wheels with Megs UQD will help make brake dust removal even easier.

I speak from experience. Just because the labels do not say "Repels Brake Dust" it doesn't mean that it's not so. I use them on my uncoated billet wheels and maintenance is a breeze.

Oh and UQD has terrible durability.

I use PB Wheel Sealant on my True Forged wheels which have uncoated billet lips and painted centers. I can tell you with absolute confidence that it repels brake dust as good or better than any sealant that I've ever tried on them. Not to mention, it allows for very easy maintenance of the wheels and leaves no haze or "prints" behind on the bare aluminum. I usually just wipe them down with a microfiber and some PB waterless wash in between washes and my polished lips look like mirrors. The brake dust and road debris just wipes away leaving the polished finish behind and nothing else.

Here's a shot of one of my wheels when it was bran new.

Here is the same wheel now, after plenty of driving. It's been coated with PB's Wheel Sealant three or four times and other than that has had no major cleaning or polishing other than wiping it down with waterless wash and normal washing.

I've tried Klasse, Optimum and Black Diamon sealants on polished wheels and none of them provided the results that the PB's does. With most of the regular sealants, I've noticed that when I try to just wipe a wheel down with quick detailer or waterless wash, it leaves streaks and prints on the bare aluminum that requires polishing to remove. I don't get that at all with the PB's.

I'm one who continues to use a product that has shown good results in the past. I for one is a PB believer and continue to use their wheel sealant on my personal autos and my customers.

PistolWhip - What kind of durability are you getting with the PB sealant? Does the car see adverse weather? I have the DP wheel glaze and didnt like it - maybe thats what turned me into using conventional sealants on wheels.

My all polished CCWs kick my ***
