CG for the canadians

I thought I would share.

I have no affilation, i have never orderd I just heard about it on detailingbliss.

Chemical Guys Canada - Car Waxes, Polishes, Washes & More

us canadians could not get CG, but now we can :rockon
 
So what's the scoop on the "One" product? Has anybody tried it? The website says:

I have never had any interest in the CG line so I'm certainly not an expert, but....
That description sure sounds a lot like Dri Wash n Guard or Wet Paint.
A little less money than those two products, but a lot more money than Poorboy's S&W.
Hey, order some and try it. Then we will all know. :)
Or be patient and Calgary Detail may try it for you. :D

you jest... i plan on trying it yes.

From what i have heard its more then s&w, its an allin one that cleans like a mild clay, and seals like an AIO...

either way im giong to ry it soon :D

That doesn't surprise me in the least. :)

That's where it sounds like the "Dri Wash n Guard" or the "Wet Paint" process. Wipe it on to remove the dirt, let it haze and then remove it to give the shine/protection.

Congratulations!
Doesn't having a Canadian source make a really big difference in even getting the products let alone the added costs when you have it shipped from the States? I think I remember reading that the import fees are astronomical and the import process is somewhat complicated.

Its so much nicer, i dont have to wait for customs or transfer of package from USPS to canada post.

as for customs, its 6% duty on 99% of items, everyonce in a while you will get something with alittle more duty.
and customs isnt bad you just pay the dudty when it comes to the door :bigups, the only thing is customs can take 2-3 weeks (not often but it has) depeding on how busy they are.. plus a cdn supplier supports the canadian ecnomy
 
Actually, the fee would be the 6% GST and whatever the provincial tax is. You just happen to live in a province without PST. Most other areas would have at least double the %. :(
 
Never used CG products but glad that you guys got a source that you can get at with out all the hassles of shipping and customs
 
I have the CG "ONE" and it works quite well. My gripe is that it settles out of solution (not unusual) and requires hundreds of shakes to remix.
 
Have you noticed any fillling abilities when using One, I have read that it cleans and leaves something behind, that masks swirls... Which would lead me to believe that it could marr while cleaning but the fillers just fill in the marks...

Honestly I have not noticed one way or the other. It does contain carnauba so it really leaves a nice shine when removed. It does contain clay so the filling properties are very possible.
 
Thanks RTexasF and to CalgaryDetail for making the order. From what RTF says it sounds tempting to try it. I'll be interested to hear what CalgaryDetail has to say about it.

I've not purchased anything from CG but I'm tempted to try their Citrus Wash. And I thought that this looks like a good deal: DETAILING BUCKET WITH GRIT GUARD AND EXTRAS! (NICE)

Oh, and I Love RTexasF's avatar! My favorite cartoon character.

Your question made me do a small test this evening. My gal's Yota Corolla is due for its annual machine polish which I have not done it yet. With the light just perfect on the trunk (the car clean & waxed) I decided to do two coats of ONE. The marks that were there prior were still there after a double application/removal.

Using this minor test I would say that the filling abilities are nil for what it's worth.
