CG clay question

Just received my clay bar and lube from Chemical Guys. The bar is listed as 4 oz (113g). They say you can do about 10 cars with it (although they give you enough spray for 4 cars). I read somewhere that it's good to cut the clay bar in a few sections so that you use each section per car. Also, using smaller portions is safer since, in case you drop it, you won't ruin the whole bar. So just curious as to if I should cut it into 2 or 3 sections. Any other tips/suggestions for a newbie to claying?

I usually cut the 200gm. Clay Magic bar in 1/2(100gm.). I think claying with a 60gm. piece is kinda small. Maybe I have big hands?

Yeah, you don't wan't to small a piece, just cut the bar into what 'you' think are 'comfortable' sized pieces, and to small a piece will lengthen the claying time because you are covering to small an area at a time.

Thanks for the info. I'll just cut in 2 pieces and use one piece for each car. Do you also clay the glass everytime or only with an older piece of clay that you're about to throw out?

Yes, clay the glass, the chances are it would probably need it,but 'i' wouldn't ever use an older piece of clay for anything,if you think the piece is done, throw it out don't keep it.I would be as careful with the glass as i would be with the paint.
