.......what pad/bonnet can i use on the orbital for this compound? Thanks in advance.
Welcome to Autopia!

The orbital that you bought is made for applying and removing wax, not for polishing out defects in paint or glass. If you have never polished glass before you want to be very careful with the cerium oxide, it is possible to polish in distortions. Below is a link to Eastwood glass polishing kits that will give you an idea of what they use. I also think JC Whitney sells a kit also:

Eastwood Company: Auto Tools, Body Repair, Classic Car Restoration, House of Kolor Paint, Powder Coating

If you do a search on glass you'll probably find several threads here that have talked about glass polishing.

the scratches i have a razor fine... in fact, the were made by a razor when my window was being repaired of a crack. do i really need something that spins 20000 rpm?

I had an orbital like that before, only it was a Craftsman. It couldn't polish paint, there's no way it will polish glass! I sold it at a yard sale.
