I put on Ceramic dis-brake pads on my Ford Ranger 4x4 months ago for two reasons one the truck stops better that's great for a towing the Detailing trailer that is filled w/ a ton of stuff and leaves hardly any brake dust. The Ceramic dis-brake pads alone cost was $90.00 plus machine the rotors, I did the labor myself.
I find by installing the Ceramic dis-brake pads the rims stays clean w/o building up on brake dust like it did /w the reg pads. It stops on a dime w/o much foot pressure and the pads will last the life of the truck will. If you are going to do a brake job I recommend switching to Ceramic pads.
Also I’m running Mobile 1 full Synthetic oil I get better mileage and don’t have to change oil as much every 5000 miles and the engine is cleaner, better startups and I’m getting 1 or 2 more miles a gal.
My mileage is 17 town 22 fwy 4.0L engine running a K&n filter /w custom cold air intake.
