Central Florida Meet, July 26

I would... but, there's literally no room, I've got a 2 car garage but absolutely no driveway, it's just our street..on the other side is another garage. It's a narrow street with garage doors on both sides for about 50 years.

I *MAY* be able to work something with the parking garage at work...they let the "car washers" work there on Friday's, so why not on the weekend doing proper paint correction?! I can probably get a Gembala porsche to work on, maybe.. Lemme see what I can do!

EDIT: screw that lets work on my car!

Thanks to everyone who taught us how to use the rotary and to Jay for the garage and great food. We definitely gotta do this is cooler weather next time unless we can figure out a way to use sweat as a clay lube.

That Dodo Juice was crazy. I can't believe it stopped bowling balls from denting the paint. ;)

Nice meeting all of you today....I just got home like 20 minutes ago. Big thanks to Jay for letting us use his garage and also thanks to the guys who showed how to use a rotary. I have already started saving up.

The Summer '08 Central Florida Detail Meet was officially a HUGE success! Eight Autopians got together in Lakeland, FL, downed some burgers and hot dogs, told some lies, slung some polish and enjoyed a balmy, breezy day in paradise ... gasp!

All joking aside, the generosity and enthusiasm of the senior forum members are truly remarkable. This is evidenced by their willingness to spend a LONG day, drive hours each way and use their equipment and chemicals to help a group of novices at absolutely no charge. I am not aware of one other industry where this phenomenon exists.

My wife and I thank each of you for coming to our home and spending the day with us. I picked up invaluable skills, made terrific new friends and had a great time! :thx

Jay

In closing, I must comment on the exciting opportunity we had to preview a fabulous new product... DODO JUICE! Pronounced "doe-doe," not "dew-dew." I personally am going down to the docks as the DODO boat arrives from Mauritius. This stuff will protect your paint, clear your sinuses, cure hemorrhoids and ingrown toenails and ensure world peace. :bow:bow:bow

I just wanted to say thank you so much to Jay for having us over today! Thanks also to all the guys who showed up to teach and learn! I had a great time and am really excited about the next meet! It was very nice to meet all of you! Thanks again guys and if any of you need anything from me just ask!

Garry

Oh yeah, Buy some Dodo juice from Todd!!! The stuff is amazing!!

Did someone leave a small step-ladder at my place? I will be in Orlando and Tampa on different days this week. We can arrange to meet, or I'll drop it off. Give me a shout.

Jay

Thanks to you and your wife for the hospitality! I'm glad you enjoyed it and hopefully learned a thing or two. The day was great, except for that guy Todd, that "thought he knew something" about detailing! :rofl
