I asked AG on Monday if they were thinking about carrying CD2. Today I was informed that it had been discontinued. Has anyone else heard this? What would be a good replacement?

It's still available at some places online but it sells for like $12, around my town I am able to get it for like $2 a can at some local place.

turtle wax has own them for along time. worked for turtle wax in '02 and the had already owned cd2. it is probaly the only turtle wax product i like. just cant find it

303 gets alot of hits with engine detailing as well as Meg's HyperDressing. Duragloss 265 Conditioning spray is pretty nice too.

Try your local Strauss Auto Store - I've been able to pick it up in my local (NNJ) store

Its pretty much dead here in Canada, reason being Turtle Wax has given exclusive rights to a local chain here and no one else can import or distribute it, but they do not carry CD2 line and only the Turtle Wax line ...what a stupid way to do business !

I've been using Stoner Trim Shine in aerosol form for engines lately. It dries to a nice factory shine and doesn't attract dust, a good alternative to CD2.

I noticed the Amazon link was a redirection to Midway Automotive in Texas.

Here's the link for Midway if you want to cut out the middle man:

CD-2 ENGINE DETAILER, 12.5 OZ. (4516)

I've dealt with Midway in the past and they're a good company. They even shipped to Canada without any difficulty so you folks in the USA should get the stuff really quickly.

Does CD-2 build up with repeated uses?

Most definitely not. In fact, the stuff disappears much quicker than I would have ever guessed. I've got a few cans of it courtesy of a forum brother here @ Autopia. It looks awesome when fresh, seems to fade completely within a few weeks...even if the car isn't a daily driver :sadpace:

Went to 2 autozones today, when you walk in on the right wall, they have engine cleaner such has gunk eb-1, I walked thru the first store, nada, walked in the 2nd store looked the same place, no, then the guy yelled out: welcome to AutoZone what can I help you with and I said CD-2 he said yeah we got that, right where I was looking by the gunk and sure enough 7 silver cans with cd2 on it :) I may go back to the first one tomorrow and look there, so wherever your local AutoZone has the gunk and engine degreaser at, LOOK GOOD, real good, or even ask.
