CD2 Engine Detail

Probably something like that. If you trust me then you can call me and tell me the shipping cost right after you send it and I can pay you the exact amount. Where are you shipping from?

So sorry, been gone all week. I'm shipping from MI 49071; and yourself?
I seen some on the self (at another place which were selling them for $7.99 a can!) and noticed they have a redesigned artwork. So you still in for 2 cases if I can get 'em for the $30-$35/case? Figure roughly $10 a case to ship (just guessing). I'll try to get back to the store as soon as I can. If I know for sure you want them I might just find the time somewhere.
Let me know.
Derek

I was shopping at murrays today. One can left of CD2 cleaner. I picked it up,now i have one cleaner,1 CD2 Engine detail, something is better then nothing..

I noticed everyone is carrying BlackMagic Engine Detailer.

Woah... I must have missed this thread for a couple days. Sorry for the delay. I actually just scored a case on ebay for 20 bucks, so I won't need you to pick some up for me. I really appreciate you being willing to go through the effort though.

Man, all this time I've been thinking that I kicked the habit of CD2, and then when the opportunity presented itself to 'buy now' on ebay I jumped on it. I was salivating like a bloody crack addict who just found a rock the size of a billiard ball. I'm so weak....... Weak and hooked up with a case of CD2. :dnaughty I think the price of engine details just went up. :bigups

I check all the time. I haven't checked for a couple weeks and then this one popped up. It still ends up being less than 5.50 per can even once you figure in the shipping. If I would have seen this stuff on the shelf for that price then I would have bought at least 6 of them, so this was a good deal.

does the case contain the cleaner and detailer?

Nope. Just the detailer. The cleaner isn't anything special. It is just normal engine degreaser. It is the detailer that makes it look good.

Why can't you use BlackMagic engine detailer. What is so great about it.I have a can big deal,so what. Your just to stubborn to make a change and try new items. Everytime someone ask about this stuff your always bragging.I wouldn't doubt that you have stock in the company.Do me a favor try another product and give us a comparison.

Gotcha, just Kidding with you :lmfao :lmfao :lmfao
I'm making calls in the area to stock up.This stuff is like diamonds.(rare)

Wow! That was a good deal. I think I was paying $6 + tax at AutoZone and the other local auto parts chain that stocks it charges $7 or $8 per can.

Thanks for the tip! I was just asking about this stuff, and was just about to place an order for 2 can's for $7.49ea and shipping was going to be $8.84

Total of $23.82 for 25oz = ~$0.95 per oz

I just bought a case for $20.00 + $12.50 for shipping = 32.50 for 75oz = ~$0.43 per oz

Not bad!

Thanks for the tip!

That may be the case he emailed me about last night that I just got. He said he had an extra case and I told him that I had some friends who would be most interested in it. Good thing I didn't tell him I'd take it, eh? :D I told him that the addiction would be horrible to break if I had 12 cans at my disposal. I should probably just stick to the 6. I can't wait to shine up my engine with it now!

So what is your process for this stuff? How long will it stay?

CD2 lasts quite a long time actually. Here's my process.

1. Cover sensitive areas (air intake, batter, alternator, etc) with platic wrap.
2. Degrease engine compartment with Meguiar's Safe D-Greaser 5:1 and some brushes.
3. Rinse with water.
4. Run engine for 10 minutes to dry engine compartment.
5. Spray CD2 EVERYWHERE.
6. Run engine for 10 minutes to dry CD2.
7. Use cheap-o mf towels to remove excess CD2.

TA-DA!!!

I am glad you guys got your CD-2 engine detailer addiction cured for awhile..

enjoy
as said before grab it while you can..it has been discontinued as far as I was told from AZ ..they were told from the CD/TW rep

Al

What works even better is when you don't remove the excess CD2. I apply it in a heavy layer and let it sit overnight. In the morning you are greeted with hoses and plastics that look like they were just dipped in wet paint.

Here is what it looks like with a quickie detail. This engine took me less than 30 minutes from start to finish.

Give me a couple weeks to get this case of CD2 and I'll show you how good it really looks when you let it sit. I can't wait to soak my engine covers with this stuff. :naughty
