Carwash soap on tires!

A great way to get some use out of all the old cotton terry towels I still have.

Other than staying clean, did you have some reason to use a long handled brush?
I think I do a better job of cleaning the tires with a short handled brush so I can apply more pressure when scrubbing. (The fact that I don't own a long handled brush has nothing to do with it. :D)

Charles the old cotton towels do even better buffing when they start getting loaded up with product. I tend to use them a few times before washing and also wear rubber gloves when do it :)

Careful, you are going to have something in common with me. :D
I use the towels till I think they are trashed, then throw them away. No way would they ever go in my washing machine. :eek:

I used to wear rubber gloves to keep my hands dry during winter washes, but I now wear nitrile gloves and throw them away after a few uses. They seem to last for several washes.

To each their own.
For me:
Winter weather = cold temperatures
No gloves = wet hands when washing vehicles
Wet hands = cold hands
Gloves = dry hands
Dry hands = not quite so cold hands :) It does make a big difference.

I do think you could buy some diving gloves that would keep your hands both dry and warm.
 
Let me see if I can reply to this thread without excessive smilies and remain on topic. CharlesW, can act as official monitor. :D (oops, that one slipped ;) --- darn it there's another).

Anyway, I mix a 1.5 x version of car soap in a dedicated wheel/well/tire bucket. I wash wheels first, tires, then wells. I will sometimes supplement the soap with APC for the tires and wells. I then may follow with a fresh bucket of water only to rinse the brush (which as with CharlesW are several short handled brushes for the tires - and a longer handled brush for the wells) I will follow do a spray-n-scrub with BnB on the tires/wells.

Cliff Notes: I use car soap to wash my tires. :)

:cool::dcrules Rabbi, I have always hated waring any glove(except 1 wht. glv. doing my Micheal Jackson impersanation... EEEHHEEE:cool::rofl:rofl:rofl) But seriously you should. There are ALL KINDS of CANCER causing agents in these chemicals we use on a daily basis. And that stuff be seepin thru skin on tha way to organs & bloodstreams. Jus something to ponder on.:cool::dcrules

If not, it SHOULD) Thank about 4 instance wheel cleaner? Look how that stuff eats thru that BRAKE DUST "ASBESTIOS" You don't think that could get in your bloodstream, or GOD forbid do damage to internal organs? JUZ SAYIN,THATS ALL.:cool::dcrules

Asbestos hasn't been used in brakes in decades.
 
Getting back to the original question......
It's car soap, if it were meant for tires and the car it would be car/tire soap. :inspector:
