Pretty good documentary on Netflix. It follows some of the cartel issues along the border and in Mexico from three different perspectives....the guys cooking meth in Mexico, some "vigilantes" in Mexico trying to stand up to the cartels, and volunteers in the u.s. monitoring the border.

What a horrible messed up situation it is down there. Pretty incredible the bravery some of the locals showed at first trying to make a stand. The people in these cartels are nothing more than horrible animals

It is so corrupt there (in Mexico), too bad..

Glad that people want to see it stopped, but like all big Cartels, if you mess with them, they will absolutely take you out...

I remember reading about this little town close to the border where there would always be several dead bodies with notes, etc., on them, warning everyone to not mess with the Cartels, every day...

I was just listening to some Documentary on this that was several years old, and the number of people in Mexico killed for drug related reasons is way over the number of people killed in Viet Nam and the Gulf Wars already, way, way, over...

It is no wonder that so many people - innocent people - want to leave and will do about anything to get over the Rio Grande and into Texas...

I was pretty impressed by the progress and towns that were cleared by the small group of locals that took up arms and went to work on their own. Very sad to see the bigger they got gov. and cartels infiltrated them and ruined it

Years ago, I remember reading about this poor lady that finally took over for the Sheriff of the this little town because the Sheriff had been killed by the Cartel.
No one wanted to take his job, because of what had happened to him, but this lady, brave for sure, decided that she would take up the responsibility..

Not long ago, a cruise ship landed there, cant remember which one, but a group of people on the ship looked at the Agenda of things they could do while there and they all went on a tour of the area..

Not too far into the tour, some bad guys with machine guns, lined them all up and took all their belongings, and they had to find their way back to the ship..

Apparently, their tour guide was in on this...

Lucky they weren't all killed or captured for ransom...
