Cars in the parking lot

There are many types of marketing that annoy people, but still work. How many times have you become aware of a product or service through an annoying commercial? If I see a very nice car, I may very well put a business card in the window seal. If the person takes it as a personal insult, so be it. No harm was done to their car. This type of marketing costs nothing and could very well result in a sale. Doing something like this does not make me or anyone else a "hack".

See, that's just the thing many don't seem to grasp. That car is not yours, its not yours to touch or leave stuff on. ITS NOT YOUR CAR, ITS NOT YOUR BILLBOARD. What if someone was to take your business card off their car, and owning a garbage collection business, drive their truck and dump all their garbage out in front of your business? Its no harm, you can just throw it away right? Like Accumulator said, you're going to run into someone that REALLY doesn't appreciate it one of these days...

THANK YOU! I cannot believe how many people think it is perfectly acceptable to touch someone else's vehicle...! There are cities that have ordinances against putting anything on another's vehicle. Personally, if I caught someone in the act of doing this to my car... I would respond as if they were attempting to steal or vandalize my vehicle, It would not end well...

I do it every once in a while, got my first NSX with a business card at Albertsons. Another card on a Legend at my kid's school in 1995 has resulted in 15 years of steady business from that person and his office, along with several more regulars who I came into contact through the owner of the Legend. You just never know when you will hit the jackpot (so to speak) like that.

...yet car dealers sure feel free to glue their ugly dealer emblem onto your car's paint.

They glue it on when the car is their property. I haven't had anyone glue anything on while it was under my ownership. I'm just blown away by some of you guys that think touching someone else's stuff is ok. Are you guys fine with people coming into your shops and touching your equipment? Where do you draw the line when it comes to your's versus someone else's?

Dealers know damn well the cars on their lot will not be their property for long and it is absolutely repulsive to me that they think gluing their ugly emblem to the back of the car. That would bother me far more than someone putting a card between my window and the molding. Someone puts a flyer on my car, it isn't that big of a deal to me.

After parking next to a hacked Murcielago yesterday and seeing countless swirled up newer black S500/600's @ Sak's I'm going to drop a card next time.
