CarPro Reset or Hyperwash?

Mixing soap can change the balance of the soap. No real benefit to mixing..

Mixing my Griot`s with 3D Pink gives me better cleaning than the GG alone and better lubricity than the 3D alone. Though that latter point doesn`t seem as pronounced since GG tweaked their stuff.

TroyScherer- That was a great explanation about the Hyperwash, thanks for posting it! I *really* like that "smells like `clean soap`...Dial" that sounds *perfect* for Yours Truly :D Somehow I never noted that with all the posting about it...but now I know and it`s moved to my short-list.

And I do appreciate the offer of some to sample, might take you up on it when (heh heh, tempted to say "if"!) I actually make a dent in what I have now...I`m just *AWFUL* about trying stuff that people send me; JustJesus sent me some PB stuff to try so long ago that I`m embarrassed... it`s just sat here for so long untouched that I worry he`ll think I didn`t appreciate his sending it :o

I gather it`s not really hard to find Hyper these days...

I`ve noticed that soap with gloss enhancers. do change beading character for the worse, atleast in the short term. Then go wash the car next week, and it is beading as before. Then go to rinse after the wash, and the gloss enhancers reduces beading again. I hate shampoo that leaves anything behind because of this kind of stuff.
Yeah, pretty much. I used to like the idea of synergy wash soap and I have seen that washing WG traditional LSPs with WG Auyo Bathe didn’t hurt the beading so much... probably because it’s adding back done of the same polymers that are already built up. But I use that (and the other 5 or so gloss enhancer shampoos I have) on any non- synergistic LSPs and the beading definitely goes poor. It cones back later, as mentioned.

So I’m trying to use this spring/pollen season to wash frequently with the gloss enhancers to use them up. But I can’t wash hoods and roofs because of testing and this whole thing is annoying.

Looking forward to slimming down my shampoo collection to Reset, HW and WG SiO2.

Some of us appreciate your taking one for the team ;) Even though my fave isn`t fairing so well!

I watch my paint way too much, and I drive a lot. And northeast weather changes a lot especially in spring. For whatever it’s worth (and it’s only worth a blip in time), FK was the cleanest section on the car last night after a drive through nasty rain and winds and pollen flying everywhere. And PNS right next to it wasn’t close or even 2nd. Go figure.

And I swear: different rain, temperature and winds result in different beading behavior on different LSPs (sometimes much different than expected). It makes it tough for doing LSP tests in the spring here but I try to keep the big picture in mind when reporting my observations.

acuRas82- Yeah...there are a whole lotta variables in play, huh? I *do*, of course, like that the FK self-cleaned so well :D At least it`s doing *something* the same for both of us! Now we`ll see how it lasts..IIRC your Acura is the "no LSP lasts" car, right?

Yes, that’s usually the case. Most LSPs don’t like this old, soft paint.

The oldest thing I`ve used the FK on is my `93 Audi...it`s utterly trashed/too thin paint (which is quite soft in the trashed areas) does fine (FK1000P lasts for ages), but again, that`s just me.

If you like Reset you should try Mystic Bubble Soap from TAC Systems. Equally good if not more slick with a lovely bubblegum scent - also marketed as ceramic shampoo, rinses clear but importantly much cheaper.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like good stuff. It’s actually a bit more expensive than Reset, except for the gallon but during an AG 25% off sale the Reset gallon comes out less.

Doesnt mean I won’t try it someday if it’s good. :)
