Carpro Hydro 2 Review with updated pics

Don't do too many product reviews but this product is worthy of one. Carpro Hydro2 is one of the easiest products I have ever used. It can be applied to the entire exterior of the vehicle in a matter of minutes and so far is holding up very well.

I applied it back on 09/28/14 as my winter protection in NYC on a daily driven, non-garaged, 13 Charger RT. The car has received a few washes since then but hasn't been washed in a few weeks now due to weather.

Process to apply:

Strong wash with CG CWG
Light clay with the nanoskin wash mitt
No polishing
Broke the car down into 6 sections
Paint must be cool to the touch and car out of direct sunlight
Keep the car wet
Apply to one section at a time and wait for 60 secs before blasting with a strong stream of water
Repeat process on all 6 sections
Then utilize flooding method to rinse
Dry with leaf blower and MF WW towel on any excess water
Done

On the side skirts and lower door panels it is starting to fade, but that is to be expected plus the car has not been washed in 3 weeks. Overall very happy with this product.

Do you think HydrO2 adds a "look"? That being, depth, gloss, shine, warmth, glassy, slickness, pop -- any of the adjectives we might use for certain waxes or sealants?

I would call it glassy from my personal experience with it. It is also very slick.

Your car looks great especially considering the effort it takes to use the hydro. By chance have you ever tried Permanon platinum? I used it in late September on my car as the coating was not beading at all.

Below is a pic from yesterday. Wondering if the hydro is better than. Permanon? Permanon is a wash car, mist on hose off. It's also slick and lasts 6 weeks to 4 months for me. In 6 weeks the super tight beads are gone but as you can see 4 months later it's still there a little.

Never used permanon platinum before. I don't know anyone that has been disappointed with hydro2.

Well you can say that you have now. The looks of it were good, obviously ease of application was great, but longetivity was a huge letdown in my experience with HydrO2. Didn't matter whether it was on paint or wheels just didn't seem to last as long as I expected. I will be trying it again this year on someone's car as I have a ton left. It may have been that I didn't let it sit long enough or sprayed it too hard with the pw but it really didn't seem to last to me.

Yep, kinda shocked. I did use the entire 50ml sample and made sure I got good coverage
